davenport.engineering is a serious website.

I often think of building a website, but I'm not sure what to put on it. Like what is the theme?

Do I want to showcase something like React or Svelte dev tricks? All the bells and whistles?

JavaScript is fun, and you can create cool apps. However, I think there's a lot of bloat on modern websites. I don't really need a front end framework since I'm not providing a service that requires an interface.

Vanilla JS is OK for now.

I use PHP and Scala for work. I want to keep things chill on this site, and engineer less than what I do professionally.

Why? To preserve the magic of the web as I experienced it growing up.

This will mostly be a document with some light hacking.
